OPEN CALL FOR
12 PHD POSITIONS
in MSCA Doctoral Network “MiCCrobioTAckle”
This project is funded by the European Research Executive Agency (HORIZON-MSCA-2023-DN-01).
Description:
We are looking for 12 highly motivated Doctoral Candidates (DC) to fill positions in our Marie Sklodowska-Curie Action (MSCA) Doctoral Network MiCCrobioTAckle across our 7 European research centers located in Germany, Denmark, Netherlands, Ireland, and Hungary. Together with experts on computational biology, microbiology, synthetic biology, clinical, and experimental science, we strive to provide microbiome-based solutions to improve clinical management of cancer cachexia, a debilitating metabolic syndrome affecting a large proportion of cancer patients.
Career development and international mobility of researchers is a key concept within the MSCA-DN framework. All nodes of the MiCCrobioTAckle network will participate in a thoroughly designed DC training program that sets emphasis on (i) strengthening cross-disciplinary skills, (ii) combining cutting-edge research training with vision for innovation and commercial exploitation, and (iii) surpassing barriers for knowledge exchange between industry and academia
Your profile:

- English language: You are able to understand and express yourselves in both written and spoken English.
We offer:
- An attractive salary in accordance with the MSCA regulations for DC (incl. living allowance, mobility allowance, and family allowance).
- You have the opportunity to pursue a PhD in top European research centers.
- You will be working in an interdisciplinary environment and an international team.
- You will experience strong mentoring and career support.
- You will profit from a rich network-wide training and internship program both in the academic as in the industrial sector.
